THE POWER OF MERCY

Mercy belongs unto God and Mercy rejoices over judgment. Mercy prevails/rejoices against – over judgement ( James:2:13).

Lamentations 3:22-23 NLT [22] The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mercies never cease. [23] Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. MESSAGE BIBLE (Lam 3:22-23) God’s loyal love couldn’t have run out, and his merciful love couldn’t have dried up. They’re created new every morning. How great your faithfulness!

James 2:13 KJV [13] For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath showed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment. NLT: God will be merciful when he judges you. ( NLT James 2:13) Mercy does not depend on work, not earned by Work done, nor a factor of work ( Titus 3:5 ) We do not become a Chosen Generation on Works, but because of mercy (1Peter 2:10)

DAVID FOUND MERCY BUT SAUL DID NOT
2 Samuel 7:15 [15] But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee. Consider the response of David in verses 18- 19

AHAB FOUND MERCY DESPITE HIS EVIL DEED
1 Kings 21:25,28-29 KJV [25] But there was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of the Lord, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up. [28] And the word of the Lord came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying, [29] Seest thou how Ahab humbleth himself before me? because he humbleth himself before me, I will not bring the evil in his days: but in his son’s days will I bring the evil upon his house.

PAUL FOUND MERCY
Hence he said 2 Corinthians 7:2 Receive us; we have wronged no man, we have corrupted no man, we have defrauded no man.

THE FOLLOWING. ARE THE ACTS OF MERCY

(1) WE WHO WERE NOBODY BEFORE WERE MADE SOMEBODY BY MERCY
We were nobody before but Mercy made us and promotes us to be somebody 1Peter 2:10 We had no mercy before but now obtained mercy 1 Peter 2:10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

(2) MERCY BRINGS RESTORATION TO THE DESTINY OF A MAN
1 Peter 2:9-10 esp 10 [9] But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: [10] Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
Zechariah 10:6 KJV [6] And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the Lord their God, and will hear them.

(3) MERCY DELIVERS A MAN FROM DEATH Phil 2:25-27
The story of Epaphroditus, who was sick unto death but God had mercy on him and prevented him from dying – Phil 2:25-27,
Philippians 2:27] For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.
Please Query: What Sickness can be greater than the one that is to cause the death of a man? There are varying degrees of sicknesses, some minor, some major. But the one the Bible says it is unto death must be serious YET mercy delivered him from death

(4) MERCY DELIVERS A MAN FROM THE HAND OF THE ENEMIES INTO THE HAND OF GOD
2Samuel 24:1-25. esp 13-15 emphasis on 14 David said God should not allow him to fall into the hands of his enemies for they will not have mercy on him. He chose God, even with God’s punishment it was still tainted with mercy (11 Sam 24: 1-25 esp 16) David after being given three unacceptable options for punishment threw himself unto the hand of the mercy of God, for he said ” HIS MERCIES ARE GREAT” 2Sam 24:14

THE THREE OPTIONS GIVEN TO DAVID WERE:
(1)  SEVEN YEARS OF FAMINE IN THE LAND
(2) TO FLEE THREE MONTHS BEFORE YOUR ENEMIES WHILE THEY PURSUE YOU
(3) THREE DAYS OF PESTILENCE ON THE LAND

But even when God chose for David which one He knew would still be moderate punishment, He had MERCY in mind.
NOTE:
(a). Instead of THREE DAYS OF PESTILENCE GOD REDUCED IT TO ONE DAY 2 Sam 24: 15 – The Angel only worked from morning to the time appointed in d day
(b). God said to the Angel of death, it is enough) He stopped further destructions of the people by Himself (2Sam 24: 16) Please NOTE David did not choose any of the options MERCY chose for him. He pleaded for mercy to prevail over judgement
James 2:13 NLT Says God will be merciful when He judges you

(5) MERCY JUSTIFIES A MAN BEFORE GOD
Lk 18:10-14 especially 13 The story of the two men who went to pray and one exalted him while the other pleaded for mercy. The one who pleaded for Mercy went home more justified verse 14
Lk 23;39-42 The story of the two malefactors (Thieves) Criminal s, One asked for Mercy while the other railed on Him. The one who asked for Mercy entered the Kingdom when no one gave him a chance even at the place of death.
Jesus said to him – Luke 23:43 [43] And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in
paradise.

(6) YOU CRY FOR MERCY BECAUSE MERCY BELONGS TO GOD ALONE.
David confirms it when he told God not to allow him to fall into the hand of Man (2Sam 24:14) David said the Mercy of God is great Psalm 62:[12] Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.

(7) YOU CALL ON GOD FOR MERCY FOR HIS MERCY IS INEXHAUSTIBLE
Psalm 86:3 Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily. Psalm 86:5-7 [5] For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. [6] Give ear, O Lord, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications. [7] In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.
Psalm 86:15-17 KJV [15] But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, long-suffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth. [16] O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid. [17] Show me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, Lord, hast holpen me, and comforted me.
Psalm 103:8,17 [8] The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. [17] But the  mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children; God is good

(8) MERCY BRINGS A MAN UNTO MERCY SEAT TO OBTAIN MERCY
Romans 11:31-32 [31] Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy. [32] For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all. We come to God even when we refused to believe Him because He had mercy on us. That through the mercy that brought us to Him we may obtain mercy in all underserved areas of our life. Jn 5:1-9, Jesus was the one who approached the man after waiting for 38 years, Yet, if it were not for mercy, he would still have lost it because he was telling a story of 38 years of experience that had no relevance to his day of mercy
NOTE: Many who are here this morning do not want to come, you struggled to come, you contended with your Spirit to come. This means mercy brought you, He brought you that you may obtain mercy in other areas of your life

(9) GOD DOES NOT TUNE OR TURN HIS EARS AWAY FROM THE CRY OF MERCY
There can be no better place or evidence to show that God listens to the cry of mercy than the story of Blind Bartimeaus.
The crowd around shouted him down, discouraged him, stood as obstacles against him, turned against him when they ought to be the one to help him BUT the VOICE of mercy was louder than all the voices of the people put together, and all the obstacles.
For the voice of Mercy crept to the ears of the Lord despite the crowd to gain his attention for Blind Bartmeaus Lk 17:11-17 esp 13– The story of the Ten. Lepers are also instructive
FROM THE STORY OF BLIND BARTIMAEUS IT CAN BE SAID THAT
(1) Mercy turns situations around when received
(2) Mercy rewrites the history of a man. Tell a new story about yourself.
(3) Mercy brings restorations
(4) Mercy gives you a brand new beginning
(5) Mercy changes the garment of shame ( whatsoever the inglorious) garment to a
brand new garment.
(6) Mercy silences your mockers, enemies, adversaries etc
(7) Mercy can relocate a man from being in one stop to where God has destined him
(8) A man’s case or matter can NEVER be too old or difficult for Mercy to deal with
(9) Mercy is not a respecter of a person, if only you will ask for it

(10) GOD PREFERS HAVING MERCY TO RECEIVING SACRIFICE
Matt 9:13 The healing of the man of Palsy attracted criticism from the Publicans when he told the man your sins are forgiven you. They questioned his authority to do so but Jesus said He has not come for those who are whole. He will have mercy and not sacrifice Matthew 9:13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. No one is justified by the Provisions of the Law. No one is whole. No one is perfect, No one exists without the need for mercy

(11) A MAN WHO KNOWS HE HAS NO MIGHT NOR POWER TO FIGHT FOR HIMSELF WILL SURELY SEEK THE MERCY OF GOD
Psalm 6:2 KJV Have mercy upon me, O Lord; for I am weak: O Lord, heal me; for my bones are vexed. Psalm 9:13-14 Have mercy upon me, O Lord; consider my trouble which I suffer of them that hate me, thou that liftest me up from the gates of death: [14] That I may shew forth all thy praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion: I will rejoice in thy salvation.

(12) WHEN YOU FEEL. SOME REPROACH OR SENSE OF CONTEMPT
You seek the mercy of God when you feel some mockery around your life. When you want God to do the work of turning around in your life, you seek mercy This was the story of Hannah in the hand of her adversaries. Peninnah was at ease, then became proud and had contempt towards Hannah Psalm 123:3-4 KJV [3] Have mercy upon us, O Lord, have mercy upon us: for we are exceedingly filled with contempt. [4] Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at
ease, and with the contempt of the proud.

(13) MERCY GUARANTEES THE FORGIVENESS OF OUR SINS WHEN WE CONFESS THEM
Proverbs 28:13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

(14) IF MERCY FAILS, THERE WILL BE NOTHING ELSE LEFT
Mercy is available before and at the Throne of God ( Throne of Grace) God invites us to come before this Throne of Grace to obtain MERCY The implication is that we must approach the Throne of Grace, and get mercy by all means. If we fail to do so, there will be nothing left to obtain. Hebrews 4:16 Let us, therefore, come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

(15) ON THE DAY OF MERCY, NO MORE ACCUSATION: IT IS THE DAY OF YOUR DISCHARGE AND ACQUITTAL FROM ALL ACCUSATIONS, SICKNESS, HOSPITALS, POVERTY, POVERTY, ETC
When Paul obtained mercy, all his record of terror against the Church was wiped out. Paul could therefore boldly say in 2 Corinth 7:2 “I have offended no one” 2 Corinthians 7:2 Receive us; we have wronged no man, we have corrupted no man, we
have defrauded no man. Mk 10:46-52

HOW DO YOU OBTAIN MERCY FROM THE LORD
(1) Recognize it is not based on works
(2) You must plead for it. Cry and ask for it Mk 10:10-42 esp 48 Lk 17: 13
(3) Rely on other people's cases to whom God had shown mercy
(4) Tell Him that even dogs eat crumbs that fall from the Master’s table. Matt 15:22-28 esp 22,25 27 The story of a woman of Sidon whose daughter was ill, First approached Jesus based on Mercy, did not get what she wanted, went ahead to admit she was not better than a dog, and further asked God for HELP. IT SEEMS HELP AND MERCY are twin brothers before God
Jesus could no longer look away but was compelled to help and show her mercy Read Matt 15:22-28

PRAYER POINTS
(1) Prayer of thanksgiving at long last that the day of your mercy has come
(2) Say, Father, This is the day of Mercy, let me find Mercy before you
(3) Say, Father, show me a token of your goodness and Mercy that those who hate me may be ashamed (Psalm 86:17 )
(4) Say, Father, you promised to show Mercy unto whom you will show mercy, please show me mercy., my Family, husband Children, Nation etc
(5) Say, Father, visit my Family foundation, my genealogy, my Family tree, let mercy reverse all that has been working against my life.
(6) Father let your mercy cut me off from my enemies and destroy all of them that afflict my soul.
(7) Say, Father, quicken me and bring me out of trouble for thy name sake, Psalm 143:11, Show mercy unto me
(8) Say, Father, we are in the last Quarter of the year, please fulfil all your promises concerning me for this year because of your mercy
(9) Say, Father, whatsoever. I have done that is crying for judgement, according to your words let the Voice of Mercy be louder than Judgement in Jesus' Name. James 5;11. FATHER SILENT THE VOICE OF JUDGMENT AND ALL ACCUSATIONS AGAINST ME AS DONE IN BLIND BARTIMEAUS ‘S CASE
(10) Say, Father, you are plenteous in Mercy, please be compassionate unto me show me mercy, help me to recover all my losses in life
(11) Say, Father. Help me to show mercy to others so that I may obtain mercy.
(12) Say, Father, Let Mercy justify me before you as done in the case of the two men who went to pray in (Lk 18:10-14 esp verse 13 )
(13) Say, Father, deliver me from untimely death, from Sickness and affliction as you did for Epaphroditus
(14) Father please do not let my enemies rejoice over me. Do not let me fall into the hand of man. For man will have no mercy on me
(15) Say, Father, give me a new beginning for your mercy’s sake
(16) Say Father Change my Garment as you did for Blind Bartimaeus
(17) Say, Father, Blind Bartmeaus woke one morning, his story changed before the day was over because he encountered mercy, please change my story before this day is over
(18) Father, please do not remember any of my errors, sins, or evil works, let me experience a completed transformation today.
(19) Father please show unto me the token of Mercy that Jacob enjoyed even from the Womb and after birth and you said you loved him. You made him your First Born.

NEVER SELL YOUR VOTE, IT'S YOUR WEAPON!

The road to the Nigeria seat of power Aso Rock is long, expensive, and exhausting. Becoming a candidate is only the beginning of the election process. Successful candidates must both persuade voters that they deserve their individual votes and garner the critical votes of electors in the Electoral Constituencies.

Persuading voters is the essence of a political campaign. Advertising, theme songs, stump speeches, and even negative campaigning have been around since our country began, and each  technological advancements since then has offered new opportunities for candidates to persuade voters. Study the campaign poster of previous political times from 1979. Would the figures of peace and progress wearing gowns and hats surrounding Alhaji Shehu Shagari and  Alex Ekwueme of NPN,  Chief Nnamdi Azikiwe of NPP looks sway to  modern voter? Probably not, even with  the Nigeria flags, code of arms, party logos did'nt translate to good governance, every parties display their  manifestoes to  convince the electorate but instead of Nigeria and Nigerians becoming better for it, revise became the case.

We shall soon see imagery in advertisements for candidates running in current presidential elections with the aim to woo our votes, as they said, once beaten twice shy, it is human to make mistakes but to repeat and remain in past mistakes is foolishness. Friends now we have  another  great  opportunity to correct our mistakes, it starts with our PVCs, go get one for yourself, We are the threshold of history.

Developments in photographic techniques sparked new campaign strategies. For example, in 2007, photographs of Musa Yar'Addua and Goodluck Jonathan, later Mohammadu Buhari and Yemi Osibanjo in 2014/2018 were featured on campaign billboards. Campaigns still relied on tried and true ways to persuade voters, such as sheet music, Campaign promises and direct contact between voters and candidates.

Fellow electorates we should resist any temptation of votes buying for an immediate gratification, your vote is your right, it's your powerful weapon for change. "Essau in the the Bible sold his right for a pot of stew, he paid dearly for it in the future, people blame Jacob for tricking his brother for his birth right but refused to blame Essau for selling it for now, now, now gratification. LESSON: The future came and it was time for the blessings, he didn't get it, he blamed Jacob but he forgot that he sold his future. Today too many Nigerians are crying and blaming their predicaments on bad governments but we forgot that we sold our birth right  like Essau, But nevertheless we having a golden opportunity to reclaim our birth rights and TIME IS NOW!.

Nigerians, as you listen to the aspirants of various political parties jostle for their party's victory at the coming general elections, think and ask if they can offer tomorrow what they couldn't provide in about 22 years; and if Nigerians are doing better now than when we were 22 years ago before voting for them. Our Mumu done do, Shine your eyes well well.

It's hard to imagine what transpired in Abuja Nigeria last month. "Monitocracy" money bag politics displaced by the two maga nigeria political parties, the  aspiring candidates message couldn't speaks or make any sense to the people, even when they choose their issues wisely, the office of president was sold out for the highest bidder not the best aspiring candidate.

CAMPAIGN is on going, the media may not be completely innocent in the process, at time the they played the role of accomplice, because of politics of "Monitocracy" they gave in and fell prey to the lust of the eyes, lust of flesh and pride of life, though over time the media has changed and won back the confidence of the Nigeria populace. This transformational process is seen in today's campaign strategies, the use of statistical analysis and the science of influence and effect. Today, a candidate's every word, every action, and even their perceived thoughts should be read precept by precept and line by line, paraded and lay bare before the public before they can get our votes.

Thank you, let's meet at the polls.

NEVER SELL YOUR  VOTE FOR IMMEDIATE GRATIFICATION PLEASE.

TREASURE-Dr I.D. Samuel Extrapolates

 TREASURE; TREASURER; TREASURY

I. In the Old Testament.

1. Treasure

The English word "treasure" has in the Old Testament at least five somewhat distinct meanings as expressed in the words below:

"Treasure," genes (Aramaic) or genes (Hebrew), usually meaning "the thing stored"; translated "treasures" in Ezra 6:1, but in 5:17 and 7:20 translated "treasure-house": "search made in the king's treasure-house." In Esther 3:9; 4:7 the Hebrew form is translated as "treasury".

2. Storehouse:

"Storehouse," not the thing stored but the place of storage; 'other means depository, cellar, garner, armoury, store or treasure-house. In several places, it ought to be translated by some of these words. It is the most frequent word for treasure. the English Revised Version And the American Standard Revised Version both translate in some instances by other words, e.g. 1 Kings 7:51, "treasuries of the house of Yahweh," so also 2 Chronicles 5:1; "treasury" in Nehemiah 7:70,71, "gave to the treasury a thousand darics of gold"; in Job 38:22, "treasuries of the snow" (compare Proverbs 8:21; Jeremiah 10:13; 51:16; Ezra 2:69).

3. Hidden Riches:

"Treasure" or something concealed. There are 3 Hebrew words with this meaning and all in the King James Version translated as "treasure." (1) Matmon, which literally means "a secret storehouse" and so a secreted valuable, usually money buried, and so hidden riches of any kind, hid treasures:

"treasure in your sacks" (Genesis 43:23); "dig for it more than for hid treasures" (Job 3:21); "search for her as for hid treasures" (Proverbs 2:4); "We have stores hidden in the field, of wheat," etc. (Jeremiah 41:8). (2) Mikhman, treasure as hidden, used only in Daniel 11:43: "have power over the treasures of gold and silver." (3) Saphan, meaning hidden treasure or valuables concealed: "hidden treasures of the sand" (Deuteronomy 33:19).

4. Strength:

Perhaps the strength of riches and so treasure, the Hebrew word being chosen, from a root meaning to hoard or lay up:

"In the house of the righteous is much treasure" (Proverbs 15:6); "They take treasure and precious things" (Ezekiel 22:25).

5. Something Prepared:

"Something prepared," made ready, the Hebrew word being `athudh, meaning "prepared," "ready," therefore something of value and so treasure:

"have robbed their treasures," fortifications or other things "made ready" (Isaiah 10:13).

II. In the New Testament.

1. Gaza:

There are two words translated as "treasure":

Gaza is of Persian origin, meaning "treasure." Found only once in Acts 8:27 concerning the Ethiopian "who was over all her (Queen Candace's) treasure." In the compound gazophulakion, "guarding of Gaza," the same word appears and the compound is translated as "treasury" in Mark 12:41,43 parallel Luke 21:1; John 8:20.

2. Thesaurus:

The word thesaurus means a "deposit," so wealth and treasure. Evidently, throughout the New Testament, it has a twofold usage as describing

(1) material treasure, either money or other valuable material possession,

and

(2) spiritual treasure, e.g. "like unto treasure hid in a field" (Matthew 13:44); "good treasure of the heart" (Matthew 12:35).

In Matthew 27:6 the word for "treasury" is korban.

Thus: you are not common, you are not ordinary, you are not small, and you are not a failure. You have the blood-bought right to rise to stardom. TREASURE WITHOUT MEASURE IS YOUR PERFECT AND  RIGHT DESCRIPTION

NORTHERN MUSLIMS POLITICAL RHETORIC-H.E Rev. Amb. Bright Otso

Without mincing words, Yoruba or southern Muslims, thanks to sound education & deep knowledge of the Quran, aren't overbearing like their unduly overzealous northern counter- parts. Now, my submission; it will be a despicable affront & direct insult to all northern Christians if APC picks a northern Moslems as Tinubus vice. I don't think our northern Christians should be good only for political "manipu- nation" for votes & useless for political positions, like Buhari has proved in his major appointments, the northern Muslims have succeeded in creating a fake impression and imagination in the mind of the southerners that they have the majority votes in the north, it's a make-belief, it's not true, there is no state in the north that there are no huge population of indigenous Christians whose great grandparents refused Islam.

RHETORIC: According to the dictionary definition, is the art of effective or persuasive speaking or writing, especially the exploitation of figures of speech and other compositional techniques or language designed to have a persuasive effect, but which is often regarded as lacking in sincerity or meaningful content.

I pity Tinubu, the Muslims in the north are orchestrating Tinubu/APC political failure in the next general elections, if the vote can make an individual or party win what stopped Major General Muhammadu Buhari from winning during his first, second and third attempt until the northern Christians collapsed into voting him to victory.

One tribe or religion cannot produce a leader in Nigeria today, it is even worse now with the Buhari government's lop-sided appointments and leadership style, under the watch of the APC/Buhari administration the country is more divided now than ever.

Our northern Muslims should stop seeing other Nigerians as their slaves & political tools, please. God is not unwise for creating us differently. They said, A single bee is ignored but when millions come together,  even the bravest run in fear...., the one thing the government fears is the day we stand together. Our diversities are our strength and together we can make Nigeria great again!.

#May God bless Nigeria.

#Long live Nigeria Democracy

NIGERIA NEED A CAPACITY SERVANT LEADER

It's catastrophe that we are being lead by blind leaders, short sighted government whose vision is to loot, embezzle and squander our common wealth. We are all suffering from their in ability to see the way, go the way and show the way.

Because of that, they have failed to lead this country and under their watch, the nation's territorial integrity is now at the mercy of bandits, and terrorist groups, our universities are on an indefinite strike for months to mentioned but few.

With the current disheartening socio-economic and insecurity. it's quite obvious that the interests of our politicians are mainly money and their stomachs, not the masses. We saw a lugubrious show of how APC and PDP "Monitocracy" politics  controlled by money bag during their primary elections. Do you expect much from the money bagged politics witness during the so called primary elections of both PDP and APC?

It's also a big dung slap on the national value as a train going from Kaduna to Abuja was attacked by bandits. The killings of innocent worshippers at ST Francis Catholic Church Owo Ondo State?,  This is woeful!

Fellow Nigerians, the time has come to vote for a credible, visionary, dynamic and strategic 21st century all round servant leader. I am presenting to some leadership qualities you need in a man you will cast your vote: 1, Humble and visionary 2Self-confidence 3, Strong communication and management skills.4, Creative  and  innovative  thinking 4, Problem  solver. 6, Perseverance in the face of failure 7, People centred person. 8, Willingness to take risks.  9, Openness  to change,  and level headedness. 10, Reactiveness in time of crisis. 11, God fearing leader, who will serve you unreservedly; trust and invest in Nigerians and the Nigeria project. A leader when elected as Commander-In-Chief of Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, he will guarantee us that his Administration will be "Citizens First Leadership Model", also will be intentional about the wellbeing of the people. Security of lives and  property will be topmost  in his agenda. There will be security alert machines across the boarder line of our country, CCTV, sophisticated monitoring devices, ACA, CCC, Security Intelligence and 21st century mechanisms will be fully deployed.

Common sense leadership, transparency, respect for the rule of law, empathy, ethics, patriotism and sincerity of purpose will be the order of the day. An administration which will restore the dignity of our dear nation through a functional value system and return Nigeria pride in the global communities.

We can't continue to allow the lives and property of this nation remain in the hands of political saboteurs. Neither can we do old things, the old way and expect new results. Let's change the narrative. Nigeria needs an all round capacity servant leader.

Make sure you go get your PVCs and vote your conscience, vote a leader with the above qualities. NIGERIA WILL BE GREAT AGAIN!

The Bishop Elect

H.E Rev. Amb. Bright Otso Says: MUSLIM-MUSLIM TICKET IS NOT ACCEPTABLE

True Democracy is a game of interest, it is a participatory style of leadership, it is not power drunkardness, money or material inducements. Democracy is the government of the people by the people and for the people, it is the game of numbers void of "monitocracy" money bag politics or "kakistocracy" politics of control and command.

There is a future we need to protect, unity we must keep, understanding we must promote. No tribe,  religion or region has monopoly in democracy. Democracy is the best form of government if everyone's interest in put into consideration, no minority or majority tribe,  religion in this type of government but majority interest, It's a leadership of collective effort. When we are alone we are a voice but when we unite we are a force.

Muslim-Muslim or Christain-Christain presidential ticket is "Demoncrazy" not Democracy and every lover of democratical government should resist it, we shouldn't allow Nigeria to be in the hands of political box brain opportunists, people whose interest is self and not citizens first.

The true is that anyone that say Christians votes in northern Nigeria is inconsequential is not telling the truth, there are indegineous Christians in almost all the states in the north, from Borno, Yobe, Gombe, Bauchi, Adamawa, Taraba, Plateau, Nasarawa, Benue, Abuja, Niger, Kaduna, Kano, Sokoto, Zamfara, Kebbi States. All People Congress (APC) as a political party should not tell us that there are no competent Christians in the aforementioned states who will serve as vice President to Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, their presidential flagbearer for 2023 General elections.

Nigeria is our only country we have no other country we can call our home. This is our soil, our land and home of wealth-well domain. May we begin to see and respect each other beliefs, culture and tribe.

In today’s world where dishonesty is common among people in political positions, a good leadership stands out because he upholds the democratical virteous, people's interests and esteem the rights and privileges of fellow humans beings above all things.

They knows the damaging consequences to their character of being unfair and dishonest, and the immense reward for doing the right thing.

Also they understands that the beauty of God is seen in our varieties. Eg culture, religion, ethnic diversities and values as a people who should seek to see the Nigeria of our dreams. Let's not use what was made to unite us as a tool for division.

GOD OF WONDERS-Dr I. D. Samuel

Exodus 3:20. And I will stretch out my hand, and smite Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in the midst thereof: and after that, he will let you go

Exodus 11:9. And the LORD said unto Moses, Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you; that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.

Job 9:10. Which doeth great things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number.

Psalms 77:11. I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember thy wonders of old.

Psalms 77:14. Thou [art] the God that doest wonders: thou hast declared thy strength among the people. The one true God is a God of wonders.

The Bible is replete with accounts of the great acts God has performed for His people. Over and over the book of Psalms recounts the wonderful deeds the Lord has accomplished. Among His most wondrous achievements is the act of redemption. When we say that God is a God of wonders, we mean that He is a God who carries out miraculous works. The Lord’s wonders declare His absolute control over events, people, and powers, and reveal His presence among His people.

Both the Old and New Testaments showcase God’s wondrous acts. In the Old Testament, two Hebrew words are translated as “wonder” in English: morphed and pala. Morpeth means “a splendid or remarkable work” or “miracle.” The term is often associated with the “signs and wonders” God performed through Moses during the exodus from Egypt: “So the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, with great terror and with signs and wonders” (Deuteronomy 26:8).

Pala means “wondrous works” or “marvellous deeds” and frequently appears in the psalms: “We give thanks to you, O God; we give thanks, for your name is near. We recount your wondrous deeds” (Psalm 75:1, ESV). These marvellous works by the God of wonders are unique displays of divine power that go far beyond human ability and power.

The New Testament also gives reasons why God is called the God of wonders, using the Greek words thaumasios, megaceros, and teras. In Matthew 21:15, the miracles of Jesus are called “wonderful things” (thaumasios). In Acts 5:12, Luke speaks of many “signs and wonders” (megaleios) performed by the apostles. And in 2 Corinthians 12:12, the marks of a true apostle include “signs, wonders [teras] and miracles.”

God’s wonders reveal His omnipotence. The plagues—each one directed at one of Egypt’s false gods—revealed Yahweh’s absolute power over all other gods: “When I raise my powerful hand and bring out the Israelites, the Egyptians will know that I am the LORD” (Exodus 7:5, NLT). Not only did the Egyptians encounter God’s supreme power, but the Israelites also received assurance that their God was fully capable of defending them against the Egyptians.

Through divine actions, the God of wonders reveals His character, His purposes, and His power on earth. In response, people who witness His miracles are filled with awe and wonder: “Look among the nations, and see; wonder and be astounded. For I am doing a work in your days that you would not believe if told” (Habakkuk 1:5, ESV).

The pagan King Nebuchadnezzar witnessed the miraculous power of the Lord Most High. The wondrous deeds he experienced included a dream that was revealed and interpreted, three Hebrews being delivered from a fiery furnace and the loss and restoration of Nebuchadnezzar’s sanity and kingdom. In response, Nebuchadnezzar enthusiastically praised the God of wonders: “It is my pleasure to tell you about the miraculous signs and wonders that the Highest God has performed for me. How great are his signs, how mighty his wonders! His kingdom is eternal; his dominion endures from generation to generation” (Daniel 4:2–3).

God’s wonders reveal His love and protection. The Lord led His people through the wilderness with a miraculous pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night (Exodus 13:21–22). He fed them with manna (Exodus 16). He provided water from a rock (Exodus 17). Through it all, the God of wonders showed the people of Israel His limitless care and protection.

God’s wonders carry out acts of judgment. When Aaron’s sons offered unauthorized fire before the Lord, God consumed them with fire (Leviticus 10:1–3). When Korah, Dathan, and Abiram rebelled against Moses, they were swallowed up by the earth, and their supporters were destroyed by the Lord’s fire (Numbers 16:1–35).

God’s wonders reveal His kingdom. In the New Testament, the God of wonders authenticated His presence at a critical point in the history of salvation. God, Himself entered human history in the Person of the Son, made incarnate. Jesus Christ is the greatest wonder of all. Through His ministry, which was accompanied by wondrous miracles, He confirmed the presence of God and the nearness of His kingdom.

God’s wonders are supernatural acts beyond human understanding. Through extraordinary signs, the God of wonders demonstrates His limitless power, His inescapable presence, His divine protection, and His sovereign purposes. In each instance, God’s wondrous works are designed to draw people to Himself. Through His most stunning of all miracles, the God of wonders revealed Himself in Jesus Christ, overcame the power of sin and death, and redeemed His people for all eternity

WE MUST TAKE BACK OUR COUNTRY. H. E. Rev. Amb. Bright Otso

While we prepare to elect right persons who will lead us in various political offices for the next four years in the coming general elections in 2023, we should apply  caution, let us not allow an infiltration of dirty politics, as this will mar the values we stands for, free, fair and credible elections. The process by which we elect our leaders, including the Presidential position, must align with the global way of doing  things, it should reflect our dignity and sanctity as people. The labour and hard work of our heroes over the years should not be in vain.

Kudos to our National founding fathers, for their discipline, tenacity and faith in what is now looks like an upstream paddle to the foundational principles of an enduring democracy. Know that some of us should take note and vow to make those principles mainstream again in the  Nigeria project.

To the Nigerian Electorate, it should be quite clear, that with our  PVC we can rewrite our history and correct our past mistakes and forge ahead to actualizing the Nigeria of our dream.

It should be clear to all well-meaning Nigerians and the Youth particularly, the only stand-out political force and weapon is our votes, conscience, integrity and credibility.

Fellow compatriots, the vision for the future is in our hands "Never complain of what you permitted" Our dedication to the values of true Democracy, should be reflected in the way we coordinate ourselves before, during and after the period of elections.

Friends, the ball is now in our court. You now have the power to decide what future you want for Nigeria. Either to continue feeding the three-headed serpent of corruption, ethnicity and greed or stand with the truth and integrity. Remember you are not on a life-sentence to idiocy. You are a free citizens who can choose what future you want.

After  over 22 years, it should be clear to us that our So-called leaders' investment is a dead end and it is bad business. You cannot say “there is no hope.” Your PVCs is your hope and the vehicle to the Nigeria of our collective vision.

The greatest investment is with us, never sell your birthright for immediate gratification like Essau did in the scripture. Note, you cannot eat your cake and have it at the same time.

The future is with the people who initiate and drive every known development index. This is a holistic approach in dealing with the many challenges we face as a nation and continent.

Nigeria need patriotic leaders with a team spirit, servant-leaders, who will hit the ground running, roll up sleeves and serve tirelessly to turn our beloved nation around and set it on the trajectory of greatness.

Your vote would prove that the ‘nobody can indeed become somebody’.

Youths of Nigeria, your vote would have proven that we are indeed ready for leadership. Southern Nigeria, your vote would have proven that, contrary to the claims, we are indeed united. And Northern Nigeria, your vote would have proven that you believe in this entity called Nigeria and in fairness and balance of power.

You can either do this for your future or the future of your children, they deserve a better NIGERIA!.

Together we can make it happen!

PARADIGM SHIFT OR CRASH?Ambassador Rev Bright Samuel Otso Bishop Elect

 T

he political system in Nigeria needs either a paradigm shift or crash. As it currently stands, The resilience of Nigerians has so far demonstrated to the international communities, it is no business as usual.

My appeal  to  our amiable Nigeria eligible voters as we draws closer to electioneering period, is that they should look beyond "Monitocracy"- politics controlled by money bags-which has only  produced incompetent  and  sectarian leadership.

The politicians should  see us as the  change agent that we are, the catalyst for good governance. The must see why we are the best and right instrument for change, they need to value and respect us and  that we have  what it takes to deliver the country from it's deep mess, and not political parties or politicians, candidate imposition schemes. Let us show Nigeria and our international friends we can stand for truth, sincerity, transperancy and credibility.

Don't be among the challenge we are trying to solve as a nation, rather be responsible for creating and being the change we desire. The nation doesn't only need what we have, but also who we are. The index to a person's character is how he treats other people especially those who can't offer him any good. Today, more than ever before, our value for one another must be upped, and our lives must be characterized by the willingness of each of us to share in the responsibility for upholding the common good of our nation. A man has not lived, unless we can see his footprint in time. Several men have come on stage and stepped out almost unnoticed. Yet there are men whose memories are still so fresh and pleasant. Whereas the remembrance of others generate senses of pain and sorrow. The category you choose to belong has a ripple effect on the nation.

Thank you
