The Vatican City

The Vatican City is the headquarters of the Roman Catholic Church worldwide.
The Vatican City is the world's smallest fully independent nation-state.
It's encircled by a 2-mile border with Rome,Italy.

The famous building in the Vatican City is the St. Peter’s Basilica, built during the 4th century and rebuilt during the 16th century. 
The St. Peter's Basilica was  erected over the tomb of St. Peter the Apostle and the first Pope.
The building it is the second largest religious building in Christendom.

Vatican City is governed as an absolute monarchy with the Pope at its head and it habours the Roman ancient iconic arts and architectures.
The Vatican or Apostolic Palace is the residence of the Governor of the state, the Pope.
The Swiss Guards are responsible for the personal security of the Pope.

The Holy See is the name given to the government of the state.
The Vatican has its own telephone system, banking system, prints its own stamps, issues passports and license plates, operates media outlets and has its own flag and anthem. 

The Vatican state imports everything including food, water, electricity, and gas.
There is no income tax and no restriction on the import or export of funds. 
As the Holy See, it derives its income from publications and the charity of more than one billion Roman Catholics worldwide.
The State of Vatican was established as a sovereign nation with the signing of the Lateran Pacts on the 11th February 1929.
