🍲 *SHABACH YESHUA ENDLESS GOODNESS DAILY DEVOTIONAL* Friday 7th April 2023 *TOPIC:* *PATH TO GLORY (1)*

πŸ”‘ *KEY VERSE:*

"But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive" (Gen. 5O:20, NKJV).

πŸ“– *TODAY'S READING:*

Genesis 37:12-24

πŸ“œ *ONE YEAR BIBLE STUDY PLAN*

Judges 6-7

*COMMENTARY*

The pit was the first detour on Joseph's path to glory. His story reminds us of the biblical truth that there are no accidents in the lives of God's people. Everything that happened to Joseph in his life was not an accident. It was God's plan. It was his path to glory. God is in control of our circumstances and we are in control of our responses. Joseph's brothers hated him because of their father's love and favour for him. Joseph had done nothing wrong. Joseph had dreams and to make matters worse, he shared his dreams with his brothers, and they hated him even more (Gen. 37:5). God still give dreams and some people may oppose them.

Here was Joseph, the favourite son of his father in a pit, not placed there by some enemy, but by his brothers who cared nothing for him. He had dreams for the future, but here he is in a pit, left there to perish with hunger and thirst. You may be in a financial or emotional pit' at the moment. You may be struggling with

various challenges that someone or something put you into, and there is nothing you could do about it. Maybe life was smooth and graceful until suddenly you found yourself in the pit. Maybe you lost your job. Are your children about giving you a nervous breakdown and you are asking, "God, what did I do to deserve this pit? You may have gotten more problems than you can handle and you wonder, "Why me". Joseph may have also wondered why he was in the pit. In all these, God had everything in control.

When God places a dream in your heart, don't let the pit stop you. When you have a goal in life that will bless you and bring honour to God, don't let the pit stop you. Joseph didn't realize it, and

his brothers certainly didn't know it, but God had a reason for Joseph's pit. Even in the pit, Joseph was in the centre of God's will. You will not end in the pit.

🍲 *SHABACH YESHUA ENDLESS GOODNESS DAILY DEVOTIONAL* Thursday 6th April 2023 *TOPIC:* *THE GIFT OF MEN FOR DESTINY FULFILLMENT*

πŸ”‘ *KEY VERSE:*

"For at that time, they came to David day by day to help him until it was a great army, like the army of God. " 1 Chronicles.12:22.

πŸ“– *TODAY'S READING:*

1 Chronicle 12:1-23

πŸ“œ *ONE YEAR BIBLE STUDY PLAN*

Judges 3-5

*COMMENTARY*

One gift that every man needs on his way to destiny fulfilment is the gift of 'right' men; men who will go to any extent to make sure you achieve your dreams. Such men are rare species, especially in our time. Yes, it is God who raises men to the throne but He uses the instrument of man. Every successful man was once helped by man and still needs the help of men to remain successful.

David was running from one hideout to another from King Saul for about thirteen years. He was short of human relationships and help, only a few dared to stand by him. So bad was it that David had to request food for himself and his men from a man he had once helped but the man, Nabal declined and in a very humiliating manner that provoked David (1 Sam. 25:1-16). But when the time came, men de-camped from Saul of their own volition to help David achieve his divine mandate. These

men were not liabilities but assets. They were not ordinary men, but men of might (verse 1). They did not come to demand help but came armed with weapons to help (verse 2). They were not amateur, but trained and well experienced (verse 8, 33). They came with the genuineness of heart and united in purpose (verses 18, 23). Among them were gifted men with diverse gifts; swift-footed, prophets, and men of wisdom (verse 32). They came with material supplies, enough for David and the company's needs (verse 40). Among them were Saul's relatives (verse 29). May God raise men of "timber and calibre from all quarters who will not relent till they help you fulfil your destiny.

Praying for the gift of men is one thing, recognizing them and possessing needed the relational ability to keep them is another thing altogether. Some persons have missed their destiny helpers because they did not recognize them. The Jews did not recognize Jesus as their helper when He came to help them but rather had Him killed. Some have driven the helpers God sent to them away by their attitude. Attitude problems part from the God factor contributed to men decamping from Saul to David. Saul was self-centred and cared less about others but David cared for the welfare of His servants when he undertook to rescue the family members of His servants that were abducted by the Amalekites at Ziklag (1 Sam. 30)

A lack of money is not the reason for failure, but a lack of the right people. Victory is inevitable where the services of Aaron and Hur exist.

πŸ”‘ *KEY VERSE:*

πŸ“– *TODAY'S READING:*

Luke 1:26-35

πŸ“œ *ONE YEAR BIBLE STUDY PLAN*

Judges 1-2

*COMMENTARY*

The title is taken from verse 28 of Luke 1 where Angel Gabriel described the Virgin Mary, the earthly mother of Jesus Christ as a highly favoured woman, which was also repeated in verse 30. Virgin Mary was engaged to be married to Joseph, the carpenter and Angel Gabriel would come to tell her that she was highly favoured by God. Virgin Mary could not contain such a message even though it was pleasant because in reality there was no favour around her. The message sounded like a message in principle and not in reality. Virgin Mary must have thought of the following disfavors around her;

1. She was a virgin and virgins are not supposed to be pregnant before marriage. What would people from the culture-centred world say? Is there favour here?

2. Joseph, the carpenter had proposed to her. How was she going to tell Joseph that the Holy Spirit got her pregnant, where is the favour there?

3. She came from a very poor family, what is the favourite here?

4. She came from a very poor village called Nazareth, where is the favour?

5. She and her people were ruled by a wicked emperor as well as a wicked Herod, where is the favour?

6. She did not get the privilege of any form of education. Where is the favour?

But Jesus Christ, in the life of virgin Mary gave her favour in all ramifications.

🍲 *SHABACH YESHUA ENDLESS GOODNESS DAILY DEVOTIONAL* Tuesday 4th April 2023 *TOPIC:* *ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE*

πŸ”‘ *KEY VERSE:*

"And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and

with a loud voice glorified God" (Luke 17:15).

*TODAY'S TEXT*

Luke 17:15-17

*MESSAGE*

Jesus healed ten lepers but only one returned to appreciate Him. Jesus took notice and complained "...were there not ten that were cleansed, where are the other nine?" The attitude of ingratitude is a turn-off for the magnitude of God's magnanimity. A saying goes this way "when you thank a man for good deeds done, he gains motivation to do more." God gives more attention to those who return to give Him glory. If you cannot stand before the public to testify of God's goodness in your life, you have already disqualified yourself for your next miracle.

God throws His weight on the affairs of thanks-givers. Thanks-givers understand that their next-level miracle is a product of heavy-weight thanksgiving, not just the fruit of their mouth but also of their resources. Those who complain and murmur are not only ungrateful but have chosen to be like the great fool who calls God a wicked Father. Whenever you exhibit ingratitude, you are indirectly accusing God of being a liar, uncaring and not being true to His promises. God will not punish any man for being ungrateful, but He will give more

attention and blessings to those who are grateful. Gratitude is the

attitude toward altitude. If you must go higher in your victorious Christian

living, the attitude of gratitude would help a great deal.

What should you be grateful for? Be grateful for the gift of life. Some

of your mates are dead. I learnt that the cost of Oxygen in the Hospital is

well over N3,000(naira) per hour. How much would you have paid for the one you are consuming? May God open your eyes to see things in your life to be grateful for. Know also that when things seem not to be working, a sacrificial thanksgiving offering can provoke a dramatic miracle. As you

conquer ingratitude, you will carry your miracle.

Those who complain and murmur are not only ungrateful but have chosen to be like the great fool who calls God a wicked father.

🍲 *SHABACH YESHUA ENDLESS GOODNESS DAILY DEVOTIONAL* *Monday 3rd April 2023* *TOPIC:* *GOD WILL DO A NEW THING*

πŸ”‘ *KEY VERSE:*

"Behold I will do a new thing...(Isaiah 43:19, NKJV).

*TODAY'S TEXT*

Isaiah 43:18-25

*MESSAGE*

Everybody likes new things, especially as new things mostly bring pleasantries. In a world ravaged by wars, conflicts, discrimination, marginalisation, poverty, disease, sicknesses, joblessness, hunger and starvation, wickedness and destruction, we need a new thing that will bring pleasantness.

Biblical Israelites found themselves in terrible situations which became a circle. It was occurring and recurring again and again. The book of Isaiah tells this story; it is considered a miniature Bible. The Bible has 66 books and Isaiah has 66

chapters. The story concerning the nation of Israel is told in the 39 books of the Old Testament which is also captured in the 39 chapters of Isaiah. The story about redemption and hope for Israel which is told in the 27 books of the New Testament is also told in the 27 chapters of Isaiah. The 39 books of the Old Testament and the 39 chapters of Isaiah tell the story of sin, bondage, burden and yokes for the Israel nation. The 27 books of the New Testament and the 27 chapters of Isaiah reported

about the new thing God was doing. God forgave Biblical Israel and redeemed them. A new thing not anticipated happened. Sin will not be punished forever; judgment will not stay forever. No condition is permanent. God can and will do a new thing. Hold unto Him!

➖➖➖➖➖➖

🎚 *CONTROLLING THOUGHTS*

Expect a new thing to happen in your life for God has said so. It is the nature of God to do new things.

πŸ™πŸΏ *PRAYER*

Do something new in my life oh Lord my Father! In the name of Yeshua. Amen. Amen.

The holy roar of praise is not self-contained, not just for a particular people in a particular space. It does not praise to pump up the present crowd. It’s to pass on the faith from one generation to the next. The next generation, the future church, is waiting for the sound of shΓ’bach.

🍲 *SHABACH YESHUA ENDLESS GOODNESS DAILY DEVOTIONAL* Sunday 2nd April 2023 ____ *TOPIC:* *MORE VALUABLE THAN GOLD*

πŸ”‘ *KEY VERSE:*

"Because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance" (James 1:3).

*TODAY'S TEXT*
Hebrew 11:1-11; 1 Peter 1:7–9

*MESSAGE*
Our faith must be anchored in the timeless nature of Christ. We may however want to ask; How do you know that one's faith in Christ will hold up during the storms of life? Why should we trust Christ?

From our main texts today we can see examples of some saints
who placed their faith in God and prevailed over every challenge that confronted them. Herewith, we should understand that every
tough trail that confronts us as those who love Christ shall all end
in praise.

Peter described how a goldsmith would melt metals until it becomes a liquid. All the impurities would come to the surface and the goldsmith would scrape them off and allow the metal to cool. A process he repeated over and over until gold is free of impurities.

Peter compared our faith with gold, as it is tested, impurities will surface. When these impurities are removed our faith
becomes more valuable. Gold is the standard by which we define value. We say things like, "worth its weight in gold", "the golden boy", and "the golden age". In Peter's world and ours, gold was/is considered one of the most valuable things a person could have but while gold is valuable, it is secondary to our faith. Gold can perish but our faith will endure.

The goldsmith knew that he has pure gold when he can see his reflection in the metal. May our faith reflect Jesus and reveal Him to the world.
➖➖➖➖➖➖

🎚 *CONTROLLING THOUGHTS*
Faith in the death, burial and resurrection of God's only Son is far more valuable than gold.

πŸ™πŸΏ *PRAYER*
Oh Lord, my father, as we contend with the forces against our faith grant us grace to prevail in the name of Yeshua. Amen
