*COMMENTARY*
The fall of man activated a consciousness and awareness of the presence of good and evil. In Genesis chapter 3, Adam and Eve only became aware of their nakedness after eating the forbidden fruit. After the fall of man from the state of Innocence, (the state of a life governed by conscience), was
activated. This is what theologians call the dispensation of conscience. Although other dispensations followed the dispensation of innocence and conscience, man's actions, to a large extent, are still governed by his conscience.
The Bible has a record of nine (9), types of consciences. Although, some Bible scholars group them into 7, while others group them into 4 types. It's rather preferable to have them classified than grouped. Here are two classifications, (A) Negative conscience,
(1) Evil conscience, Heb.10:22, (2) Defiled conscience, Titus 1:15, (3) Seared conscience, 1 Tim. 4:2, (4) Weak conscience, 1 Cor. 8:12, (B) Positive conscience (1) Convicted conscience, John 8:9, Rom. 2:15, (2) Good conscience, Acts 23:1, (3) Conscience void of offense, Acts 24:16, (4) Purged conscience, and (5) Pure conscience, 1 Tim. 3:9. Each of these consciences reveals how we relate with people and God. They show why we treat people and God the way we do.
The apostle Paul said in, Titus 1:15, "To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure but even their mind and conscience are defiled". Those with an evil conscience will hardly see anything good in others and that would determine how he relates to them. When you see people live the way they do, a spiritual check-up would reveal the state of the conscience.

🎚 *CONTROLLING THOUGHTS*
